we are exhausted so this is going to be short and sweet...
What a day! the highlight was definitely the veneration of the holy relics of the passion of the Christ. We lucked out and were able to attend the ceremony at Notre Dame where they present the crown of thorns, pieces of the cross, and a nail from the passion. Truly amazing. We also visited St Chapelle, climbed to the top of Notre Dame, visited the Louvre (Doug was very excited to see the Mona Lisa), and then met a friend at the Eiffel Tower for some wine and company under the twinkling Eiffel Tower...
We have one more day in Paris and then we are headed to Rome tomorrow night...hopefully we will be able to post pictures from Rome. Au Revoir!
